Form 5500 Filing Notifications to Be Sent by 6/15

Form 5500: What You Need to Know*
The Department of Labor (DOL) requires that Form 5500 be filed electronically. For all Program plan sponsors, the Program coordinates this process by offering a Web-based system called eFile. eFile
connects plan sponsors to EFAST2, the DOL’s website for receiving Form 5500 submissions. eFile allows the Program to prepare and store your signature-ready Form 5500 for you to access, review and file
directly with the DOL.
The Program will publish your Form 5500 no later than June 15 and send you filing invitations by email. Therefore, the key to accessing eFile is an email address. You will need to provide the Program with the email address of the individual at your firm who signs your Form 5500, as well as the email address of the authorized plan representative at your firm (this may be the same person). Simply send an email to contactus@abaretirement.com with that information. If you provided an email address last year and the information has not changed, you do not need to send it again.

Please Note:
Form 5500 is publicly available once it is electronically filed on the DOL’s website at www.efast.dol.gov.

*If your plan has fewer than 100 participants as of the beginning of the plan year, the Program will provide Form 5500-SF (Short Form) for you to file.
